Hadrian Holmes is a one-man practice in the oldest sense: the person you meet at the consultation is the person on the tools every day after.

I’ve spent [YEARS_TRADING] years building interiors in the North East — bathrooms above all, kitchens, full renovations and commercial fit-outs. The work in the portfolio isn’t styled or borrowed; it’s photographed on handover day, in real houses around Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland and Durham.

Working this way has a cost — I take on fewer jobs than a firm with subcontractors would — and a return: nothing is lost between trades, nothing is somebody else’s problem, and the standard never changes depending on who turned up that morning.

How a job runs

The process

  1. Consultation

    I come to you, measure up, and listen. You get straight answers about what’s possible in the room and the budget — and if I’m not the right fit for the job, I’ll say so.

  2. Design

    Layout, materials and fittings worked up together, priced as a complete job. No allowances that quietly double later; the number you sign off is the number I work to.

  3. Build

    I do the work personally and sequence it tightly — strip-out, first fix, boarding, tiling, second fix. You get a tidy site, honest updates, and photographs of what goes behind the walls.

  4. Handover

    Sealed, tested, snagged and cleaned. I walk you round every detail, leave the paperwork you need, and the room is yours.

Where I work

The North East, properly local.

I’m based in the North East and work across Newcastle upon Tyne — Jesmond, Gosforth, Heaton and the coast at Tynemouth and Whitley Bay — Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and Chester-le-Street, Washington, and down to Teesside for the right job.
